Careers

We Are Hiring

4 open roles. All remote, all client-facing, all more about judgment than tooling.

This page is written to put off the wrong people as efficiently as it attracts the right ones.

Open roles

What the work actually is

Most of it is not building. It is sitting with an owner, working out where a week actually goes, and being willing to say the expensive operation is the one nobody wants to touch.

Then it is the unglamorous middle: pulling three years of quotes or two thousand support replies, finding where written policy and real practice disagree, and getting those decisions made.

The build is the shortest phase. If you want to spend your days in a model playground, this is the wrong place, and we would rather you knew that from the job page than from month two.

Who tends to do well here

  • You have worked inside a small company, not only alongside one. You know what an office manager holding four processes together looks like.
  • You can sit in a room with an owner who is defensive about their business and still get an honest answer.
  • You write clearly. The assessment is a written document and it is the product before anything is built.
  • You are comfortable telling a prospect to buy a $40 tool instead of hiring us.
  • You finish things. A system with no trained owner is a failure regardless of how well it was built.

How we work

  • Small team. There are four of us, so you will talk to clients in your first two weeks rather than your first quarter.
  • Projects end. There is no retainer to protect, which changes what you are allowed to recommend.
  • Everything is built in the client's accounts and handed over. Nobody here is measured on how dependent a client is.
  • Written over spoken. If it matters, it is written down.
  • Remote. We are not in one place and we are not going to pretend an office is coming.
  • Hiring is limited by paperwork, not by preference. We can only hire in the United States. If that rules you out, it rules you out today rather than after you have written an application.

What we have not decided yet

Salary bands. We have not published a range for any of these roles because we have not set one we would stand behind. Ask in your first email and you will get the number before you spend more time on us. We would rather admit that here than print a range we invented.

How to apply

There is no form and no portal. Email careers@elevencloud.ai with your CV attached and the answer to the question on the role page. One of us reads it, and you get an answer either way.

If you have read this far and recognized the work rather than the perks, that is the signal we are looking for.

What happens after you send it

Six steps. We have not printed day counts against them because we have not agreed a response window we would keep, and a missed one is worse than a missing one.

  1. You email us

CV attached, plus the answer to the question at the bottom of the role page. We read the answer before the CV.

  2. We reply either way

Including when the answer is no, and we give the reason in a sentence. Nobody here is left to work it out from silence.

  3. One call

About 45 minutes, with whoever you would report to.

  4. A paid piece of real work

We hand you an anonymized picture of a real company. You tell us which operation you would replace and why you would pick it over the others. It takes real hours, so we pay for those hours whether or not you get the job.

  5. A conversation about what you decided

Two of us, one of them the person you would work with every week. We argue with your answer. That conversation is the interview.

  6. A decision, with the reason

If it is no after the paid work, you get told what tipped it. You keep the fee.

Working here, answered

Is this remote, and can I apply from anywhere?

All four roles are 100% remote, and three of them involve travel to clients when the work needs someone in the building. The catch is legal rather than cultural. We can only hire in the United States. That is a limit on where we can put someone on a payroll or a contract, and it is on every role page for the same reason it is here.

Why is there no salary range on the pages?

Because we have not set one yet and we are not going to print a number we would renegotiate. Ask in your first email and we will tell you the range for that role before you go any further.

Do I need to have worked in AI before?

For the implementation engineer, yes, in practice rather than in theory. For the analyst and the delivery lead, no. Knowing how a $5M company actually runs is harder to teach and matters more.

What does the hiring process look like?

You email us. We reply either way. One call, then a paid piece of real work: we give you an anonymized picture of a company and you tell us which operation you would replace and why. Then a conversation where we argue with your answer. If it is no after that, you get the reason and you keep the fee.

Are these roles genuinely open right now?

Yes. All four were posted on 2026-08-22 and each page comes down when the role is filled. The team is small, so we hire when we meet the right person rather than when a requisition opens.
